How to check and send email from iPhone using SSL IMAP/SMTP Print

  • 31

The iPhone has a great email client with SSL support for IMAP and SMTP. This means that you can check your emails hosted in ServerGrove over a secure connection, which is very important if you are on a WI-FI network.

In order to do so, you must use our server hostname instead of your mail.domain.com setting.

So, if your account is hosted on our sg109.servergrove.com server, use sg109.servergrove.com for IMAP and SMTP hostnames. Make sure "Use SSL" is enabled on Advanced and IMAP port 993 and SMTP port 465 are selected.

The rest should be your normal configuration with password authentication for both IMAP and SMTP using your email address as username and your regular email password.

Happy iPhoneing!
